The restaurant was well received and has grown in the Spokane market to include several locations operated by Sparky, Inc. In May of 1998 Sparky's shortened its name to just " Sparky's Subs sub franchise" and opened its first location outside the Spokane market in Tucson, Arizona. Sparky's is currently implementing an aggressive expansion program into several new markets.
